Ducks 4, Stars 3 (OT)
Teemu Selanne scored with seven seconds remaining in regulation and rookie defenseman Cam Fowler tallied 1:42 into overtime as the Anaheim Ducks skated to a 4-3 road victory over the Dallas Stars on Wednesday in a battle of Pacific Division rivals.
Corey Perry netted his team-leading 40th goal of the season and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky added a power-play tally for Anaheim (41-27-5), which has won four in a row and nine of its last 11.
With the triumph, the Ducks moved into sole possession of eighth place in the Western Conference standings. The Stars (38-25-10) are now one point behind Anaheim.
Ray Emery made his third straight start and turned aside 23 shots.
With Dallas nursing a 3-2 lead in the latter stages of the third period, Selanne leveled the contest after cleaning up a loose puck on the doorstep. In overtime, Bobby Ryan skated in and fed Fowler, who quickly wired a shot past Kari Lehtonen and just inside the post for the game-winner.
All-Star Loui Eriksson returned from a two-game absence to net his 24th goal of the season and defensemen Alex Goligoski and Trevor Daley also tallied for Dallas, which has dropped four of its last five outings.
Making his 14th straight start, Lehtonen finished with 22 saves to suffer his sixth loss in eight career decisions to Anaheim.
