Stars 4, Ducks 3

Mike Ribeiro tallied twice as the Dallas Stars snapped a six-game losing skid and kept their slim postseason chances alive with a 4-3 road triumph over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday in a battle of Pacific Division rivals.

Captain Brenden Morrow collected a goal and two assists and Jeff Woywitka both scored and set up a goal for Dallas (39-28-11), which moved to within three points of the eighth-place Chicago Blackhawks (42-28-8) in the Western Conference standings.

Making his 19th consecutive start, Kari Lehtonen finished with 24 saves to secure just his third win in nine career outings (3-4-2).

After the teams split four tallies in the first period, Morrow scored off a one-timer and Ribeiro cleaned up a rebound for a power-play tally nearly eight minutes later to stake the Stars to a 4-2 lead.

Corey Perry recorded his NHL-leading 47th goal of the season with 77 seconds remaining in the second period, but the Ducks could not net the equalizer.

Captain Ryan Getzlaf and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky also tallied and Ray Emery turned aside 27 shots for Anaheim (44-30-5), which fell to 5-2-1 in its last eight games. The loss prevented the Ducks from pulling into a tie for sixth place with the Nashville Predators (42-26-11).
