Coyotes 4, Ducks 2

Radim Vrbata recorded his second two-goal performance in three games as the Phoenix Coyotes extended the Anaheim Ducks' road losing streak to seven contests with a 4-2 victory on Wednesday.

Defensemen Keith Yandle and Oliver Ekman-Larsson each had a goal and an assist for Phoenix, which has won five of its last six meetings with Anaheim. Captain Shane Doan added two assists as the Coyotes improved to 4-1-2 in their last seven at home.

Saku Koivu and Corey Perry tallied for the Ducks, who are in the midst of their longest road skid since dropping nine straight from Oct. 11-Dec. 11, 2009. Anaheim has lost 11 of 12 overall.

After Yandle forged a 1-1 tie with a one-timer from the left hash marks with 6:47 left in the first period, Vrbata put Phoenix ahead for good less than four minutes later with a power-play tally. He completed his fourth two-goal effort of the season on a breakaway with 2 1/2 minutes remaining in the second.

Mike Smith made 19 saves to improve to 5-0-1 lifetime against Anaheim.
