Wild 3, Oilers 2 (SO)
Kyle Brodziak scored in the sixth round of the shootout as Minnesota beat Edmonton 3-2 Wednesday night, the Wild's third shootout victory over the Oilers already this season.
After Edmonton's Jordan Eberle and Minnesota's Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored in round one, Minnesota jumped ahead in the extra format on a Mikko Koivu goal. Sam Gagner kept the Oilers alive in round three, beating Wild netminder Niklas Backstrom between the pads.
Shawn Horcoff and Dany Heatley traded fifth-round goals before Brodziak struck for the game winner, giving him his first-ever shootout goal.
The victory gave Minnesota 11 wins in November, the most of any month in franchise history.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a goal and an assist in regulation to extend his rookie scoring lead. The 18-year-old has 27 points in 25 games so far this season.
Jordan Eberle also finished with a goal and a helper and now has 15 points in his last nine games.
Devin Setoguchi and Kyle Brodziak countered with second-period goals for the Wild
