BM: Well first off I want to say I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to do this interview with me.
FL: No problem. It's my pleasure.
BM: So you are from Tampa. Who was your favorite team growing up?
FL: NFL it was the Buccaneers and in college it was Virginia Tech.
BM: Who were your favorite NFL players growing up?
FL: Chris Carter. He made the receiver position look effortless and he had the best hands of any receiver. Was dominant despite not being very fast. Also Shaun King because my mom loved him and it rubbed off on me.
BM: Carter was fantastic. Did you try to model your game after him or was there another receiver you wanted to play like?
FL: Definitely him, as well as Chad Johnson.
BM: What would you say your biggest strength on the field is?
FL: My route running. Being able to create separation and get in and out of breaks.
BM: I noticed on the tape I watched when you put your foot into the ground your breaks are very quick and crisp.
FL: Thanks man. All credit goes to my high school position coach Hansford Johnson, he played receiver at MTSU.
BM: What then would you say is your biggest weakness:
FL: My size, but then again I really can't control that. It comes with the territory.
BM: What would you say is your biggest accomplishment on or off the field is?
FL: Earning a scholarship.
BM: So you walked on at Southern Miss?
FL: Correct.
BM: And what year did you earn your scholarship?
FL: After my first year.
BM: You are set to start in the slot this year. What kind of expectations do you have for yourself?
FL: Be a leader for my group and be a guy that my teammates and coaches can count on.
BM: I'll end the interview with one last question. What do you want to do once your football days are over?
FL: I want to be a wide receiver coach at a university or at a training facility. I feel like I know enough information to make an impact in young guys lives.
BM: I want to thank you again for doing the interview with me. Good luck on this season and everything else going forward.
FL: Thanks and no problem.
Once again I would like to thank Francisco Llanos for taking the time to do this interview with me. I wish him the best of luck this season and in all his endeavors beyond this season.
