Ranking the Top 20 Fantasy College Quarterbacks

In fantasy football, the catalyst is normally the running back. But for a college fantasy team, one must have a good quarterback, as it is not nearly as deep. Also, one must separate the difference between a good NFL prospect and a good fantasy quarterback. For example, one of the top pro prospects at the quarterback position this year is Teddy Bridgewater. No one disputes he is a likely first round pick in next year’s draft, but he is not the top fantasy quarterback available. Here are the top 20 fantasy quarterbacks in college football for the upcoming season.

Johnny Manziel Texas A&M
Braxton Miller Ohio State
Tajh Boyd Clemson
Marcus Mariota Oregon
Jordan Lynch Northern Illinois
Cody Fajardo Nevada
Taylor Martinez Nebraska
Bryce Petty Baylor
Taylor Heinicke ODU
Rakeem Cato Marshall
David Fales San Jose State
Teddy Bridgewater Louisville
Kolton Browning UL-Monroe
Derek Carr Fresno State
Brett Hundley UCLA
Brett Smith Wyoming
Logan Thomas Virginia Tech
Blake Bell Oklahoma
Aaron Murray Georgia
Devin Gardner Michigan

Top Tier: Manziel, Miller, Boyd, Mariota, Lynch

Second Tier: Fajardo, Martinez, Petty

Low Risk/High Reward: Taylor Heinicke – Most fantasy players will not know of Heinicke, but if you can get him late, he WILL pay high dividends.
