Sitting since Saturday with a neck injury, Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is again out of action Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians. Unfortunately for Harper's long-term prognosis, it doesn't look like the injury is getting any better. In fact, Dusty Baker indicated as much in announcing his star outfielder wouldn't suit up Wednesday.
It sure looks like a trip to the disabled list could be in the cards for the 23-year-old outfielder.
Dusty said Harper's neck is "the same." Said don't assume it is worse than it seemed. In spasm, and they haven't been able to alleviate. — Chelsea Janes (@chelsea_janes) August 10, 2016
