The St. Louis Cardinals are a bit thinner at the top of their rotation as they look to stay alive in the National League Playoff cace. Starter Michael Wacha was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday due to right shoulder inflammation. 

Wacha is pitching to a 7-7 record with a 4.45 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP in 23 starts on the season.
