Chicago White Sox ace and AL Cy Young candidate Chris Sale has been scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Detroit Tigers with a cold. At least, that's the official word Chicago is throwing out there.
Sale has long been a subject of trade rumors surrounding the fledgling White Sox team, so scratching him over a cold seems to be a bit fishy.
The 27-year-old starter leads the AL with 14 wins and would represent a major coup for any contending team in a potential trade. Matt Albers will start Saturday in Sale's place.
