The hits keep coming for the struggling Los Angeles Angels. With C.J. Wilson, Andrew Heaney and Garrett Richards all out for the season, the Angels were hoping that it would be their lineup that would get things rolling again.
Unfortunately, 2016 breakout star C.J. Cron likely won't be a part of any potential return to relevance in Los Angeles. The first baseman was drilled by a pitch in the sixth inning on Friday against the Baltimore Orioles, breaking his hand in the process. He will likely miss a month of action.
Cron was having a stellar campaign, hitting .278 with 11 homers and 50 RBI at the time of the injury. The Red Sox called up Ji-Man Choi from Triple-A to replace Cron on the 25-man roster.
