Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw will be out for at least the next three weeks after the team transferred him to the 60-day disabled list on Wednesday. The three-time Cy Young winner has been out since late June with a back injury.
This latest news puts a major dent in the Dodgers' hopes of earning a playoff spot. From a fantasy perspective, it really does hurt those who have been relying on the lefty. Prior to his injury, Kershaw had posted an 11-2 record with a 1.79 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 16.1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He's eligible to return to the active roster on August 27th.
