The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to activate veteran starting pitcher Hyun Jin Ryu from the DL in time to make a start against the San Diego Padres on Thursday.
Ryu, 29, has not pitched in a Major League game since undergoing Tommy John Surgery last year. His last appearance came in a start against the San Francisco Giants in September of 2014.
The veteran boasts a career 28-15 record with a 3.17 ERA and 1.20 WHIP to go with 7.7 strikeouts per nine innings in 56 games (all starts).
While this is certainly huge news for the Dodgers with Clayton Kershaw currently on the DL, Ryu will need to regain his arm strength before being relevant in the fantasy baseball circles.
