Cleveland Indians catcher Yan Gomes was slated to return to the big league club this week after taking part in a rehab assignment. That return might now be delayed after Gomes was hit in the right hand during his final rehab game at Double-A Akron on Wednesday. Gomes, who has been sidelined since mid July with a separate shoulder injury, will now undergo an MRI. At the very least, this will push his return to the Indians back until next week.
