This season, we've seen the Cleveland Indians rotation turn into one of the best in baseball. Soon they will see one of their best, Danny Salazar, return to the mound on Thursday to provide a much needed boost as they contend for a playoff spot.
Salazar was out with an inflamed right elbow for 15 days, an elbow injury that could have explained his struggles in July. Before July, Salazar had a 2.22 ERA, 10.32 K/9 and 3.10 FIP in 15 starts. But in five starts from the start of July to August 1, Salazar had a 9.75 K/9, 7.88 ERA and 5.77 FIP. A healthy Salazar would be a big boost to Cleveland and a major boost for fantasy owners.
