Acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays in last year's Troy Tulowitzki trade, top Colorado Rockies pitching prospect Jeff Hoffman will make his MLB debut against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday evening.

It's a less-than-stellar opportunity for Hoffman, as he's going to have to face one of the top hitting clubs in the game at the hitter-friendly Coors Field.

Hoffman, 23, was pitching to a 6-9 record with a 4.02 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 22 starts at Triple-A Albuquerque at the time of the call-up. Though, he was also posting a personal best 9.4 K/9 in the minors this season.
