The Miami Marlins will be without star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton for their game against the San Francisco Giants Wednesday afternoon. Stanton exited Tuesday's game with soreness in the hip. Having to follow up a night game with a matinee is the primary reason he's sitting here. 

Stanton, 26, is having a down season by his standards. He's hitting just .243 with a .330 OBP.
