As they prepare for the stretch run and a potential playoff matchup with the historical Los Angeles Dodgers, the Washington Nationals are getting a big bat back in the lineup.
The team activated star shortstop Trea Turner from the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday, clearing the way for a return to the diamond after a two month hiatus.
Turner, 24, struggled to an extent earlier in the season. After hitting .342 with a .370 OBP as a rookie last year, Turner boasts a pedestrian .279/.324 split on the year. Though, he was on pace to drive in nearly 80 runs prior to suffering a wrist injury back in June.
Turner immediately becomes a solid DFS play as the 2017 season draws to a close here over the next month.
