As the calendar nears a turn to September with roster call ups, the Mets might need to add another second baseman to the roster. Neil Walker, who had a .389 batting average and 203 wRC+ since August 1, was diagnosed witha herniated disc. Walker has sworn he will play through it but he will likely receive more frequent days off, especially with roster expansion.
