Struggling Oakland Athletics starter Sonny Gray was forced from Saturday's start against the Chicago Cubs with soreness in his right extensor muscle (forearm). Gray made it through five innings, yielding five hits and two runs, before being forced from the game. There's no indication one way or the other whether he'll make his next scheduled start.
Gray, 26, has pitched to a 5-11 record with a 5.74 ERA on the season.
