The Texans Rangers have acquired nine-time All-Star outfielder Carlos Beltran from the New York Yankees in exchange for three prospects, including 2015 No. 4 overall pick Dillon Tate.
It's a huge move for the first-place Rangers, who now have that .300 hitter to help take some of the pressure off Adrian Beltre and Ian Desmond in the lineup.
Beltran, 39, is hitting .304 with 22 homers, 70 RBI and a solid .890 OPS. He figures to hit in the top-three of the Rangers lineup for the remainder of the season.
