The 2017 is headed for a memorable note. This seems to be a year where many of the top starting pitchers land on the disabled list and now we have a new name to add to the list. On Wednesday, the Cleveland Indians placed starting pitcher Corey Kluber on the 10-day disabled list with a back injury.

Kluber started last night but exited the game after he experienced renewed tightness in his back. The fact that the 31-year-old started was almost immediately placed on the disabled list certainly raises reasons for his amount of time missed.

For fantasy owners, it could be a sigh of relief. Kluber pitched poorly to start the year and after he allowed five runs across three innings yesterday, Kluber's line now registered at a 5.06 ERA and 1.67 WHIP across six starts this season. He never did seem right with his command and seemed to be especially hittable with seven home runs allowed in his six starts.

Kluber will miss at least one start and there's a real possibility for more. Cleveland doesn't offer many compelling options to take his place in the rotation, so it's best to avoid whoever they eventually opt to slide into Kluber's spot.
