We had covered this game in detail earlier in the day. That can now all be thrown out the window. The Chicago Cubs game against the division rival St. Louis Cardinals slated for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed due to rain.
John Lackey and his elite-level splits at Busch Stadim was seen as a must add from a DFS perspective heading into Wednesday's action. We were also intrigued by Cardinals starter Lance Lynn making his first start since the 2015 season.
Either way, that can now all be scrubbed.
In terms of potential top-end DFS picks up from the pitching position now that Lackey won't be taking to the hill, look at Rich Hill of the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the weak-hitting San Diego Padres Wednesday evening.
Hill posted a 3-2 record and a 1.83 ERA in six starts with Los Angeles after being acquired from Oakland last July. He also put up a 0.53 ERA and 0.8 WHIP in three starts a Dodger Stadium. You can do the math from there.
