Fantasy Baseball Daily- July 22, 2014

Today is a tricky day in daily baseball.  We have a full slate of games but the pitchers are extremely weak today.  There are a few top tier talents on the mound tonight followed up by a lot of guys that have been very hit or miss all season long or a few unproven talents.  With that being said lets dive into the matchups today and find a lineup that is going to make us some money.

We bring you fantasy daily picks for FanDuel .com and if you haven’t signed up  yet, be sure to follow this link http://eDraft.com/FanDuel/MLB to receive a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit. This is an amazing deal that you can’t miss so be sure to check it out and make yourself some extra cash. The cap for FanDuel is $35,000 with only one player at each position like a real MLB lineup (with the exception of outfielders where you can start any three players that are outfield eligible).

The scoring system for FanDuel    is as follows:

Batters: Single = 1pt, Double = 2pts, Triple = 3pts, Homerun = 4pts, RBI = 1pt, Run = 1pt, Walk = 1pt,
Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win  = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt

My Value Lineup

Pitcher
Kyle Hendricks, Cubs, $5,200:
Hendricks was shelled in his first major league to start by the Reds.  However there were some positive things that Hendricks accomplished in that outing.  Despite giving up four runs he still managed to pitch six innings and struck out seven batters.  The Cubs are going to give him another shot after calling him up to start the second half against the Padres.  The Padres are a much weaker offense that the Reds which should allow Hendricks to go out and throw a quality to start.

Catcher
Travis d'Arnaud, Mets, $2,600:
d’Arnaud has been on a tear since getting called back up to the majors.  Since his call up d’Arnaud is batting .317 with a homerun, six runs scored and five RBI.  Had it not been for Dustin Ackley making an amazing catch last night d’Arnaud would have had his second homeruns since called up about two weeks ago.  At his price d’Arnaud is an absolute steal especially against Erasmo Ramirez who has had a very bad season this year with a 4.58 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP.

First Base
Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers, $2,800:
Gonzalez is finally showing signs of life at the plate as he may finally be getting that batting average back up to an Adrian Gonzalez level.  He has hit safely in all four games since the all star break including a 3-3 performance last night.  If he continues to bat for a good average Gonzalez could be in store for a monster second half making him a steal while he is this cheap.

Second Base
Daniel Murphy, Mets, $2,700
: As the lone Mets all star Murphy is having a fine season offensively producing solid all around numbers and the offensively deprived position of second base.  Murphy ranks top ten in every batting category among second baseman and at under $3,000 is worth a look if you need a sleeper second baseman.

Third Base
Pablo Sandoval, Giants, $3,300:
Sandoval continues to swing the bat well after struggling at an alarming rate for the first month and a half of the season.  He now has seven hits including a homerun and seven runs scored in four games since the all star break. On the mound for the Phillies is Roberto Hernandez and his 4.22 ERA and 1.45 WHIP.  Look for Sandoval to keep rolling and swing a hot bat.

Short Stop
Ian Desmond, Nationals, $3,300:
Desmond is at long last hitting the ball consistently.  He is batting .357 in July and has only gone hitless in two games this month.  He is currently riding an eight game hitting streak that includes two homerun and an amazing 5-5 performance last night.  Now he gets to face Yohan Flande Who through three starts has a 7.36 WHIP and a 1.70 WHIP.

Outfield
Adam Eaton, White Sox, $2,900:
Eaton prior to he all star break broke his middle finger on his right hand but that seems to have got him hot at the plate.  Since breaking his finger Eaton has a six game hitting streak during which he has four multi hit games and seven hits in his last three games.  With Bruce Chen on the mound for the Royals tonight, Eaton should be in line for many runs scored if he is able to continue getting on base.

My Lineup

Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers, $2,800

Don't forget to check your lineup before each game to make sure that everyone in your lineup is starting. The last thing you want is a zero spot in your lineup costing yourself money.
