My Value Plays
Pitcher
Tim Hudson, Giants, $7,700: Hudson rebounded well last start after knocked around the previous two starts. His first time against the Padres he surrendered four runs in only innings of work. Despite the bad start last time out it’s only the Padres and I would be shocked if they find a way to get to Hudson the second time around.
Catcher
Mike Zunino, Mariners, $3,000: Zunino has found his power stroke over the last two weeks. IN his last eleven games Zunino has five homeruns which has led to nine runs scored and 10 RBI. Jose Quintana has been very good of late but he is known to get erratic and issue his walks. If this is one of those games where he loses the strike zone it’s very possible Zunino goes deep again the way he’s swinging the bat.
First Base
Matt Adams, Cardinals, $3,100: Adams is having a very good all around season. He has hit for a high average all season long and since coming off the disabled list he has found his power stroke. Adams has been the one consistent bat in the Cardinals lineup and even when his teammates aren’t getting on base for Adams to drive them in he is still walking away with a multi hit game.
Second Base
Neil Walker, Pirates, $2,800: Now that Walker is finally batting for a respectable batting average he is really shaping up to be a valuable daily and fantasy second baseman. Walker has a seven game hitting streak right now and gets to see David Buchanan who has not been good for the Phillies this year.
Third Base
Ryan Zimmerman, Nationals, $3,200: Zimmerman has swung the bat much better of late as he is hitting the ball hard for line drives which has led to hit in three of his last four games and two of those games were multi hit games. When he’s healthy Zimmerman is one of the better hitting third baseman in baseball and now that he seems to be fully recovered he is worth putting back into your daily lineups.
Short Stop
Jhonny Peralta, Cardinals, $3,200: Overall Peralta is having a rather disappointing season for the Cardinals. He is however starting to swing the bat better of late and gets to face the left handed pitcher Andrew Heaney who has not pitched well since getting called up to the majors. I expect Peralta to feast off the struggling lefty as he looks to get his season on track.
Outfield
Hunter Pence, Giants, $3,300: Pence has been a hitting and run scoring machine for the Giants especially since getting moved up to the two hole in the batting order. Pence has 60 runs scored this year and is batting .294 this year. He currently has a nine game hitting streak and has hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games. For the price it won’t be easy finding a player who has more value than Pence.

Don't forget to check your lineup before each game to make sure that everyone in your lineup is starting. The last thing you want is a zero spot in your lineup costing yourself money.
