Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire Adds

It's the weekend again, and that means it's time for your weekly waiver wire adds! Get in on these players before your opponents catch on and watch them help you dominate your league!

OF Kole Calhoun - Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Calhoun was a big surprise for the Angels in 2013, but an incredibly slow start to 2014 had many people thinking he was just a fluke. He was drafted in many leagues, but quickly dropped as he was not producing and did not come close to matching the numbers he put up last season.

This month, however, Calhoun has turned things around. In fact, in the past month, he is hitting a solid .333 clip and has scored twenty runs; about a run in two of every three games.

The last two weeks have been even better for Calhoun as he is hitting .349 in the past fifteen days. He also crossed the plate thirteen times in that fifteen-day span, elevating that run-scoring rate even higher.

Calhoun is only owned in 27.8% of ESPN fantasy baseball leagues. Pick him up if you need to score more runs or raise your team's batting average.

SP Jesse Hahn - San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres have been absolutely terrible this season, but a young starting pitcher by the name of Jesse Hahn has been able to squeeze out wins in three consecutive starts.

After getting hit pretty hard in his first outing of the year against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Hahn rattled off three great performances in a row. In each of those three starts, he has gone at least six innings, struck out at least seven batters and surrendered five hits at the most. Two of the starts were shutouts and the other was a six-inning, eight-strikeout performance in which he gave up two earned runs against the first-place San Francisco Giants.

Hahn is owned in just 9.8% of ESPN fantasy baseball leagues.

DH/1B/OF Steve Pearce - Baltimore Orioles

Since becoming a regular starter for the Orioles, Pearce has caught fire. He is hitting .343 in the past month with three home runs and nine runs batted in, raising his season average to .331 and moving his home runs total up to seven.

Sure, you may want Pearce to produce more consistently as a power hitter, but the three homers and all but one RBI can in a span over just the past two weeks - a span in which Pearce is hitting .366.

Grab Pearce while he's hot and either keep him or sell him before you think he is about to cool down. Picking him up will undoubtedly help your team's offense.

Despite the hot streak, Pearce is still available in over half of all ESPN fantasy baseball leagues.
