Fantasy Baseball: Week Nine Waiver Wire Adds

In need of a third baseman? You are in luck, as there are several great pickups at the hot corner in this week's edition of Waiver Wire Adds!

3B Lonnie Chisenhall - Cleveland Indians

After manager Terry Francona awarded the third base job to Carlos Santana at the beginning of the year, the underachieving Chisenhall really picked up his game. He is beginning to see more starts (either at third base or as the team's designated hitter) and he is still hitting consistently.

Chisenhall has shown that he can battle with the league's best after owning Detroit Tigers star pitcher Max Scherzer and taking him deep.

His stats may turn you away (he only has seven runs batted in), but he has not been getting starts until fairly recently. In fact, five of his seven RBI have been in the past two weeks; a span that has also seen him homer twice, score seven times and hit an astounding .410 clip.

Shockingly, Chisenhall is owned in just 0.9% of ESPN fantasy leagues, so there is a 99.1% chance that he is available. Get him before that number skyrockets.

3B Matt Dominguez - Houston Astros

Dominguez had a rough start to the season but has picked up his production in the past two weeks. Over that span, he is hitting a consistent .309 clip and has homered three times.

The Houston third baseman may not hit for an extremely high average, but he can be a productive power hitter if your team is in need of home runs or RBI.

He is only owned in 13.7% of ESPN fantasy leagues, so like Chisenhall, there is a good chance you can pick him up.

RP Sean Doolittle - Oakland Athletics

Many fantasy owners are still in need of closers; a problem that is tough to solve since so many closing jobs are unstable this time of year. Lucky for you, many fantasy owners are still unaware that Oakland's newly-anointed closer Sean Doolittle is a good one.

Since getting the closer's job, Doolittle is a perfect three-for-three in save opportunities, allowing just two baserunners in his last four innings while striking out eight.

As a quality setup man in the past, Doolittle can be expected to hold on to this job and he may become one of the more underrated closers in baseball.

People are catching on, though, as Doolittle is owned in 59.3% of ESPN fantasy leagues and that number is climbing steeply. Add him ASAP.
