New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman will miss at least a month after being placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday with a shoulder injury.
Chapman is said to have left rotator cuff inflammation. This was probably the best-case scenario for the Yankees, as an MRI on the closer's shoulder came back negative. The alternative might have led to Tommy John Surgery.
Chapman has struggled out of the gate this season, posting a 3.55 ERA 1.34 WHIP in 14 games. This came on the heels of a 2016 campaign that saw the flame thrower put up a 1.55/0.86 split last season.
