The Milwaukee Brewers will be without All-Star outfielder Ryan Braun for the next week-plus after the team announced that it has placed him on the 10-day disabled list with a calf strain. The move is retroactive from May 11th.
Braun had also been dealing with a flexor strain in his right arm that forced him from action multiple times during the early part of the season.
Braun is hitting .287 with seven homers and 18 RBI on the season. With him sidelined, the Brewers re-called Eric Sogard from Triple-A. It remains to be seen how long Braun will be out for.
