Out since June 12th with an oblique injury, Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis is expected to return from the DL in time for the start of the second half of the season.
Davis went 0-for-4 in a recent minor league rehab game, but didn't feel an discomfort in the area. If all goes according to plan, the veteran will be in the lineup for Friday's game against the Chicago Cubs.
Davis is hitting just .226 with 14 homers and 26 RBI on the season. It's definitely been a struggle after he belted a combined 85 homers over the past two seasons. Maybe some time off will help Davis get his swing back.
