Phillies at Rockies
Ryan McMahon announced his return in a big way in the series opener and will look for a repeat performance on Friday, when the Colorado Rockies continue their four-game set against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies. McMahon came off the injured list and registered two home runs and five RBIs in Thursday’s 6-2 victory as the Rockies won their fourth straight contest.
Tony Wolters tied his career high with three hits for the Rockies, who have followed a dismal 1-12 stretch by outscoring the opposition 23-6 during their winning streak. Colorado's David Dahl was activated from the injured list before the contest and went 1-for-3 while batting second. While Colorado had two key sluggers back in the lineup, Philadelphia was held to five hits without Jean Segura (hamstring) and Odubel Herrera, who was placed on the injured list with a strained right hamstring. Segura is listed as day-to-day for the Phillies, who have lost their last five meetings with Colorado and are 4-11 in the all-time series since the start of the 2017 season.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Phillies RH Vince Velasquez (0-0, 2.25 ERA) vs. Rockies RH German Marquez (2-1, 2.00)
Velasquez continued to impress with a strong outing on Sunday, when he settled for a no-decision after allowing one run over six innings against Miami. Marquez helped the Rockies snap their eight-game losing streak on Sunday by tossing a one-hit shutout against San Francisco. “That was a gem, it really was,” manager Bud Black told reporters. “From the first pitch on, there was a great intent and he built momentum as the game went on.
