Marlins at Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies will try to polish off their fourth series win in five tries at home this year when they wrap up a four-game set with the Miami Marlins on Sunday. Three players homered and four had two RBIs as the Phillies outlasted the Marlins 12-9 on Saturday to improve to 10-5 at Citizens Bank Park.

Andrew McCutchen had one of the three homers, walked twice and scored twice for Philadelphia, which was 4-for-8 with runners in scoring position. It was not all positive for the Phillies, however, as shortstop Jean Segura - who was activated from the injured list earlier in the day - left the contest after getting hit in the head with a pitch in the second inning. Miami recorded 17 hits in Saturday's loss, including a two-run blast by Jorge Alfaro. The Marlins will try to stay hot at the plate against Philadelphia right-hander Zach Eflin, who starts the series finale opposite Pablo Lopez.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Marlins RH Pablo Lopez (2-3, 4.44 ERA) vs. Phillies RH Zach Eflin (2-3, 4.15)

Lopez gave up 11 earned runs over his first three starts but has turned things around by yielding just two in 11 1/3 innings over his last two outings. He lasted a season-high 6 1/3 innings in a win at Cleveland on Tuesday. The 23-year-old faced the Phillies once as a rookie last year and let up a run in six frames while fanning five.

Eflin lasted just four innings in two of his last three starts, including a loss at Miami on April 13 in which he was tagged for six runs and 10 hits. He is 0-3 with a 7.07 ERA over his last three starts while allowing five home runs in 14 innings. The former sandwich pick owns a 5.52 ERA in five career starts versus Miami.
