Braves at Marlins

All young players go through difficult stretches and Ronald Acuna Jr. is not immune to them, hitting .194 through a nine-game stretch before getting six hits in 13 at-bats across his past three games. The 21-year-old Atlanta Braves outfielder leads his team into Sunday’s series finale at the Miami Marlins after going 4-for-4 game in Saturday’s 9-2 victory, raising his average to .294, while his 22-year-old teammate Ozzie Albies added his third career grand slam to blow open the game.

Albies finished 2-for-6 with a career high-tying five RBIs in the middle game of the series to help Atlanta win for the fifth time in seven games, giving the second baseman four homers and 10 RBIs in his past nine games with a .333 average in that span. The Marlins remain stuck on nine victories - the only team in the majors with fewer than 10 - and have dropped six of their past seven games. Outfielder Peter O’Brien, recalled from Triple-A New Orleans earlier Saturday, drove in two runs with a second-inning single for Miami. Second baseman Starlin Castro finished 0-for-3 and is hitless in his past 19 at-bats for the Marlins.
