Twins at Blue Jays

Minnesota Twins left fielder Eddie Rosario leads the American League with 12 home runs, and he has done a good amount of that damage against Toronto Blue Jays pitching. Rosario will try to continue his power barrage when he leads the visiting Twins into the second of three games against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old slugger had an RBI groundout, a sacrifice fly and a solo blast - one of three homers for the Twins - in Monday's 8-0 victory, giving him four home runs and eight RBIs in his last four games against Toronto. Martin Perez tossed seven scoreless innings to lead the way on the mound for Minnesota, which has won eight of its last 11 and gets to hand the ball to ace Jose Berrios on Tuesday. The Blue Jays counter with Aaron Sanchez as they look to snap out of a 1-6 slide. Top prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 0-for-3 in Monday's loss for Toronto and is 2-for-21 over his last six games.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Twins RH Jose Berrios (5-1, 2.91 ERA) vs. Blue Jays RH Aaron Sanchez (3-2, 3.09)

Berrios has won four straight starts while posting a 3.51 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings. He has not walked a batter in each of his last two outings and has just eight free passes in 46 1/3 innings on the year. The 24-year-old from Puerto Rico tossed seven scoreless frames with nine strikeouts in his only prior start at the Rogers Centre last July.

Sanchez has managed to finish only 13 combined innings over his last three starts and he was knocked out after four in a loss at the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. He allowed five runs (four earned) and a season-high nine hits while striking out a season low-tying two in that outing - his fifth consecutive non-quality start. The 26-year-old got the win at Minnesota on April 16 after giving up four runs over six frames.

WALK-OFFS

1. Twins C Jason Castro has four homers over his last seven contests, but left Monday's game with an elbow injury.

2. Toronto has failed to hit a home run in four of its last five games.

3. Minnesota SS Jorge Polanco was 3-for-4 on Monday after going 0-for-12 over his previous three games.
