Angels at Twins

Jake Odorizzi looks to win his sixth consecutive start when the Minnesota Twins host the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday for the finale of their three-game series. Odorizzi hasn't allowed a run in his last three outings and has given up just three over 31 1/3 innings during the winning streak.

The right-hander allowed just one hit in seven scoreless innings, retiring the final 20 batters he faced while defeating Detroit in his last turn. Odorizzi will look to shut down Mike Trout, who was hitless in four at-bats on Tuesday as the Angels lost for just the second time in six games. Shohei Ohtani was 3-for-4 but twice was thrown out on the basepaths, including at home while representing the tying run to end the eighth inning. Minnesota catcher Mitch Garver was helped off the field with a sprained left ankle after applying the tag - he will be re-evaluated on Wednesday - but earlier hit a two-run homer to help the Twins improve to 14-8 at home.
