Mets at Dodgers
The New York Mets look to record their eighth win in 10 games when they visit the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday for the third contest of their four-game series. New York posted a 7-3 victory on Tuesday to reach the .500 mark and has scored five or more runs in eight of its last nine games.
Lefthanded-hitting Michael Conforto belted his first career grand slam - an opposite-field, tiebreaking shot in the seventh inning - and drove in five runs in Tuesday's game as he starred in his third contest since returning from a nine-game absence due to a concussion. Todd Frazier also homered and Carlos Gomez added three hits as the Mets snapped their six-game road losing streak. Cody Bellinger clubbed a two-run homer to become the second player in Dodgers history to have 20 or more blasts in the first 55 games of a season, joining Brooklyn legend Gil Hodges (1951). Tuesday's loss was just the third in 13 games for Los Angeles, which saw its National League-best home record drop to 20-7.
