Diamondbacks at Rockies
The Colorado Rockies look for their third straight win in the series and seventh in their last nine overall games when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Chris Iannetta drilled a tiebreaking two-run homer in the seventh inning on Tuesday as the Rockies posted a 6-2 win in the second contest of the four-game series.
Ryan McMahon tacked on a two-run double for Colorado, which is 4-1 on its 10-game homestand and has prevailed in eight of its last 11 at Coors Field. Nolan Arenado scored twice but went 0-for-2 at the plate to end a stretch of seven straight multi-hit performances. Arizona scored just five runs in the first two games of the series and has recorded fewer than three on five occasions during a stretch in which it has dropped seven of 10 games. Eduardo Escobar homered and drove in both runs for the Diamondbacks on Tuesday and is 12-for-32 with three homers and 11 RBIs during his seven-game hitting streak.
