Nationals at White Sox

Patrick Corbin looks to bounce back from two straight shaky outings when the Washington Nationals visit the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday for the finale of their two-game interleague series. Corbin pitched a total of 7 2/3 innings in consecutive setbacks against Cincinnati and San Diego.

Corbin allowed 13 runs - nine earned - and 16 hits during the sub-par stretch that saw his ERA rise from 2.85 to 3.59. Kurt Suzuki slugged a grand slam as part of a five-RBI performance while Trea Turner, who homered for the second straight game, and Adam Eaton recorded three hits apiece as Washington registered a 12-1 triumph in the series opener - its 12th victory in 16 contests. The White Sox notched only four hits while losing for the fourth time in six games. Leury Garcia has gone 1-for-13 over his last three contests, with the hit being a homer on Monday for Chicago's lone run.
