Padres at Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles received a reminder of their better days with the return of Manny Machado to Camden Yards, but all it added up to was another loss for the worst team in the major leagues. Led by the red-hot Machado, the San Diego Padres ended a three-game slide Tuesday night and will go for a two-game interleague sweep of the Orioles on Wednesday afternoon.
Machado belted one of four homers by San Diego to give him 100 at Camden Yards and also extended his hitting streak to 12 games. Machado, who was greeted by a thunderous ovation from the Baltimore faithful, has multiple hits in nine contests during the streak and has at least one RBI in eight straight games. Fernando Tatis Jr. also went deep to give him five RBIs in the past three games and Manuel Margot homered and collected three RBIs for the Padres. Hanser Alberto collected four hits to run his hitting streak to four games for the Orioles, who fell to 9-29 at home with their 12th loss in 13 games.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Padres LH Matt Strahm (2-6, 4.85 ERA) vs. Orioles RH Dylan Bundy (3-9, 4.59)
Strahm's winless drought reach four starts in his last outing when he was reached for four runs and five hits over five innings and surrendered a pair of home runs for the fifth consecutive appearance. The 27-year-old was tagged for 20 runs over his last four turns, a rocky stretch that followed a stretch of eight straight starts in which he permitted two runs or fewer. Strahm, who pitched primarily out of the bullpen in his first three seasons, made one relief appearance in his career versus Baltimore.
Bundy lost his third straight start Thursday in Seattle, giving up four runs and seven hits (two homers) while striking out eight over 5 1/3 innings. It marked the first time in nine starts that the 26-year-old has yielded more than three runs but also boosted his season total to 17 homers allowed over 15 appearances. Eric Hosmer (2-for-6) and Ian Kinsler (1-for-7) are the only San Diego players to face Bundy, who owns a 1-5 record and 4.43 ERA in eight starts at Camden Yards this season.
WALK-OFFS

2. Baltimore has surrendered a major league-worst 160 homers.
3. Padres C Francisco Mejía, Kinsler and Margot, the Nos. 7-9 hitters, combined for six hits, four RBIs and five runs.
