Diamondbacks at Giants
Ketel Marte looks to record multiple hits in his 10th straight start when the Arizona Diamondbacks visit the San Francisco Giants on Friday for the second contest of their four-game series. Marte, who will be looking to extend his hitting streak to 11 games, is 24-for-37 with three homers during his hot stretch.
Marte was named a National League All-Star starter prior to Thursday's 5-1 victory and then went 2-for-3 to raise his batting average to .320. The Diamondbacks won for the fourth time in five games and have been playing well on the road with eight victories in their last 11 contests. Brandon Belt homered for San Francisco's lone run in the series opener as the club recorded just three hits while falling for the fourth time in five games. The slumping Buster Posey was hitless in three at-bats on Thursday and is just 2-for-28 in his last eight contests.
