Giants at Padres
The San Francisco Giants are seeing the ball well and can record their first three-game series sweep of the season when they visit the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. San Francisco has recorded 33 runs and 44 hits in its last three games - scoring 10 or more runs in three straight contests for the first time since 2010 - after Tuesday's 10-4 victory put it in position to equal a season high with four consecutive wins.
The Giants' Evan Longoria and Kevin Pillar each matched a personal best with four hits on Tuesday as the former homered twice, giving him three in two games, and notched five RBIs - one shy of his career high. San Diego (42-43) has lost three straight after winning four in a row and must win at least three of its next five games to finish .500 or better at the All-Star break for the first time since 2010. The Padres' Franmil Reyes belted his 24th home run of the season Tuesday, giving him five in his last six games and 41 in 523 career at-bats. Cal Quantrill returns to San Diego's rotation Wednesday after four straight relief appearances and opposes a consistent Shaun Anderson in a matchup of rookie right-handers.

Anderson has allowed three runs or fewer in eight of his first nine career starts after yielding two and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings of a 3-2 victory over Arizona on Friday. The 24-year-old Floridian will be making his fifth straight start against a National League West rival - a run that began with a 4-2 victory over San Diego on June 12, when he permitted two runs with a career-high six strikeouts in six frames. Anderson has posted a 1.36 WHIP with 29 strikeouts and 16 walks in 51 1/3 innings.

The 24-year-old Canadian went 1-2 with a 5.23 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in his first six career appearances - all starts. Quantrill, who came away with a no-decision in his last start on June 14 after allowing four runs in five innings of San Diego's 18-12 victory at Colorado, never has faced San Francisco.

2. San Francisco has doubled in 23 straight games - the second-longest streak in baseball to Boston's 28.
3. San Diego LHP Robbie Erlin (0-1, 5.08 ERA) yielded three hits and a walk while recording three strikeouts in two innings after being recalled from Triple-A El Paso earlier Tuesday.
