Dodgers at Rockies
The Los Angeles Dodgers are the first team in the major leagues to reach 70 wins this season. The Dodgers lead the National League West by 15 games and look to continue their strong season when they visit the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday afternoon for the finale of their three-game series.
Los Angeles avoided a third consecutive setback by bringing the lumber as it belted four home runs in Tuesday's 9-4 victory. Russell Martin, Kristopher Negron, A.J. Pollock and Justin Turner all went deep as the Dodgers improved to 9-3 versus Colorado this season. The Rockies have prevailed in just six of their last 25 contests despite winning Monday's series opener and are seven games out of the NL's second wild-card spot. Nolan Arenado, who is in the midst of a 10-game home-run drought, is 14-for-23 with four blasts and 10 RBIs against scheduled Los Angeles starter Hyun-Jin Ryu.
