Angels at Reds
The Cincinnati Reds will try to win their fourth series in the last five tries when they finish a two-game interleague set with the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Behind seven stellar innings from Luis Castillo and a balanced attack that saw eight different players record a hit, the Reds won the series opener 7-4 on Monday.
It was the Reds' ninth win in the last 14 games, a surge that has pulled the club to within striking distance of the second wild card in the National League. Jesse Winker scored a pair of runs for Cincinnati on Monday and is 11-for-24 with six runs scored over an eight-game span. He will most likely sit Tuesday when the Angels start left-hander Jose Suarez. Los Angeles has scored a total of 12 runs during its five-game slide and will try to get the bats going against Reds righty Anthony DeSclafani.

Suarez has worked exactly 4 1/3 innings in each of his last three starts, losing his most recent turn when he allowed four runs against Detroit on Wednesday. The Venezuela native had zero strikeouts in that defeat after producing 43 in his first 37 innings in the majors. He will be making his first career appearance in an interleague game.
DeSclafani has allowed three or fewer runs in 10 of his last 11 starts but he has completed six innings just three times in that span. He lost for the second time in his last three outings after giving up three runs in five frames at Atlanta his last time out. The University of Florida product has a 3.94 ERA in 11 career interleague starts and will be facing the Angels for the first time.
