Astros at White Sox

George Springer looks to record his fourth consecutive multi-hit performance when the Houston Astros visit the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday afternoon for the finale of their three-game series. Springer notched two hits as Houston split a doubleheader on Tuesday and has gone 7-for-13 over his last three games.

Springer belted his 33rd career leadoff homer to open Game 1 and help the Astros post a 6-2 victory. The blast was his 26th of the season but first since he went deep against Cleveland on Aug. 1. The Astros dropped the nightcap 4-1 for just their second loss in 11 games but still hold a 10 1/2-game lead over Oakland in the American League West, while the White Sox have prevailed in six of their last 10 contests. Ryan Goins went 2-for-4 with a key two-run single to fuel the Game 2 win.
