Orioles 11, Mariners 8: Nate McLouth belted a grand slam and Chris Davis launched his major league-leading 40th blast of the season as host Baltimore handed Seattle its fourth straight loss.

Ryan Flaherty also homered among his three hits and Adam Jones drove in three runs for the Orioles, who climbed one-half game ahead of Cleveland for the second American League wild card berth.

Jones delivered a two-run double during Baltimore's four-run first inning and Davis made it 5-3 with a solo homer in the third. Flaherty added a solo shot in the fourth and McLouth deposited a 2-1 offering from Brandon Maurer over the right-center field wall in the sixth for an 11-6 advantage.

All-Star Chris Tillman (14-3) recorded his fourth consecutive victory despite surrendering six runs and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings. Jim Johnson worked a scoreless ninth for his major league-best 38th save.

Kendrys Morales went 4-for-4 with a home run and Michael Morse, Michael Saunders and Humberto Quintero also went deep for the Mariners. Aaron Harang (5-10) was tagged for seven runs and seven hits in five frames.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Davis became the fifth player in Orioles history to reach the 40-homer plateau and first since Rafael Palmeiro in 1998. ... Morales has gone 13-for-17 with five RBIs over his last four games. ... Tillman improved to 10-1 over his last 11 starts and 5-0 lifetime against Seattle.
