The Orlando Magic have added Toronto Raptors backup center Bismack Biyombo on a four-year, $72 million contract in free agency.
Biyombo coming to Orlando to start. Could put Vucevic in play for trades. — Jon Krawczynski (@APkrawczynski) July 2, 2016
Biyombo coming to Orlando to start. Could put Vucevic in play for trades.
Biyombo averaged just 5.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for Toronto last season. But he performed at an incredibly high clip in the playoffs with Jonas Valanciunas missing substantial action. Overall, the former No. 7 overall pick averaged 6.2 points and 9.4 rebounds in the postseason.
With Biyombo no in the mix in Orlando, there's a chance the team might look to move Nikola Vucevic in a trade. That will definitely be something to keep an eye on moving forward.
From a fantasy perspective, Biyombo would bring some solid DFS ability depending on what happens with Vucevic, who is a much more apt score.
