Sacramento Kings head coach George Karl is apparently prepared to get Rajon Rondo all rested up for his free agency tour this upcoming summer.
Already eliminated from a playoff spot, it's rather interesting that the Kings would be so worried about resting some of their top players.
However, that appears to be the case once again Thursday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Both Rondo and DeMarcus Cousins will be given the night off with rest.
No, really;
This definitely changes the DFS aspect of the equation. As the Kings' top two players, the team becomes pretty irrelevant from a fantasy perspective Thursday night.
Though, there is definitely some intrigue here. Kings first-round pick Willie Cauley-Stein will now likely be given the assignment of going up against former Kentucky teammates and 2016 draft mate Karl-Anthony Towns in what could be a darn good matchup between the two big men.
Before upping the value of Towns, which is already at an all-time high, consider this: Cauley-Stein is already the better defender than Cousins.
