Most Disappointing Fantasy Shooting Guads of the NBA's First Half

Dwyane Wade, Chicago Bulls

Positional Rank: 10th

Preseason Shooting Guard ADP: 9th

It's not that Wade has been bad this season. Heck, he's almost lived up to his preseason billing. Unfortunately, consistency has been a major issue in the future Hall of Famer's first season with Chicago. He currently tanks 16th among guards in fantasy consistency, having put up 30-plus points in less than 64 percent of his outings.

This pretty much has Wade as a borderline starting one-guard in 12-team leagues. The good news here is that Wade has been an all-around performer. He ranks in the top 10 among guards in points, rebounds, assists and steals. That's not too shabby at all. Unfortunately, his days as a top-end fantasy performer are all but done.

Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors

Positional Rank: 7th

Preseason Shooting Guard ADP: 3rd

With the addition of Kevin Durant, it's not a surprise that Thompson has not been as solid of a fantasy performer this season. He's been good on the court, but the All-Star has obviously taken a back seat to the former MVP. We should have seen this coming during the preseason. Unfortunately, Thompson's ADP was top-three among two-guards. That still doesn't make any sense.

Heading into the All-Star break, Klay ranks outside of the top-20 in his position in both assists and steals. He's also just 15th in rebounds. This has led to a major downtick in productions despite him still ranking among the top-seven at his position in points.

Victor Oladipo, Oklahoma City Thunder

Positional Rank: 15th

Preseason Shooting Guard ADP: 4th

It seems that the preseason outlook for Oladipo was that he would somehow act as the second option behind Russell Westbrook, further helping him improve from a statistical standpoint. And while the newest member of the Thunder remains their second-leading scorer, his stats just have not increased from his days in Orlando.

Thus far this season, Oladipo is averaging 16.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. None of those are elite-level numbers. Add them all up, and it's still mind-boggling that his preseason ADP had him as the fourth two-guard off the board.
