Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine exited Monday's game against the Dallas Mavericks with what was described as a hip contusion. He did not return.
Considered doubtful for Wednesday's matchup against the Houston Rockets, LaVine is officially inactive. This is some rather big DFS news, considering, LaVine himself is averaging 20.4 points per game on the season.
Without their starting two-guard in the mix, Minnesota is expected to go with a combination of Namanja Bjelica, Shabazz Muhammad and Kris Dunn in the backcourt to help offset the loss of his scoring punch.
Though, this likely means increased opportunities for Andrew Wiggins out on the wing. Look for his shot total to jump from his average of 18 to closer to 23-25 in this game.
