Suns at Thunder
THE STORY: Oklahoma City looks to stay undefeated when its hosts Phoenix on Saturday night. Kevin Durant's 3-pointer at the buzzer gave the Thunder a 104-102 win over Dallas on Thursday. "As a kid, you dream about hitting a game-winning shot in the NBA," Durant said. "It’s a dream come true." He ended the game with 30 points and made 10 of 16 shots from the field. Durant is second in the league in scoring with a 31.3 average and is shooting 57.3 percent from the field. Phoenix won its first game of the season Friday. The 93-78 victory at New Orleans also erased one negative thing from the mind of Suns coach Alvin Gentry, who said after the game, "When you look at the schedule and you’re 0-2, you think there’s a chance you’ll go 0-66." Hakim Warrick scored 18 points off the bench while Channing Frye had a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.

ABOUT THE SUNS (1-2): A high-scoring offense has long been a Phoenix trademark. That hasn't been the case this season, which helps explains why the team has started slowly. The Suns hit their season high in points Friday after averaging 86.7 in their first two games. Since Phoenix isn't going to win many games with its defense, the Suns are going to be in for a long season if they continue to have problems scoring.
ABOUT THE THUNDER (4-0): Despite the team's success, Russell Westbrook is struggling. The Thunder guard is averaging 15.5 points a game, but is shooting 22-of-66 from the field, including an 0-for-13 effort against Memphis. Westbrook has also had problems running the offense with 25 turnovers and 22 assists. The argument between Durant and Westbrook during Wednesday's game drew a lot of attention. It remains to be seen if the incident will send Westbrook into a deeper slump.
BUZZER BEATERS:
1. Steve Nash went into Friday's game with 13 assists and 10 turnovers. He had 12 assists and three assists against New Orleans.
2. Oklahoma City had 26 turnovers against Dallas, including seven by Westbrook and six by Durant.
3. The Thunder have won three straight and four of five against the Suns.
