Trail Blazers at Warriors

THE STORY: Fresh off a win over the NBA’s hottest team, Portland’s next task figures to present a challenge. The weary Trail Blazers will be playing on the third night of a back-to-back-to-back when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. The Blazers have lost four of six on the road and are averaging 13 fewer points away from home. Golden State, meanwhile, is in search of its first win over a Western Conference opponent, having gone 0-6 to date. They are the lone team to not have earned a conference win. The Warriors have enjoyed success against Portland of late and will be trying to win a fourth straight in the series, including last season when they won both meetings by over 20 points.

ABOUT THE TRAIL BLAZERS (11-7): Portland ended the Memphis Grizzlies’ seven-game winning streak Tuesday despite committing 20 turnovers. Marcus Camby still showed he can be a defensive force even at 37 years old, as he established season highs with 22 rebounds and five blocks in the triumph. He is averaging eight rebounds on the season. The Blazers should be able to control the paint as the Warriors are the fifth-worst rebounding team in the league.

ABOUT THE WARRIORS (5-11): The Warriors enter tonight’s game without a ton of confidence, having surrendered a 20-point lead in a 91-90 loss to the Grizzlies on Monday. "We had every opportunity to win," point guard Stephen Curry said. "We did everything we could to let it slip away." Curry had 18 points in his second game since missing eight because of an ankle injury. Warriors forward David Lee has double-doubles in the past three games.

BUZZER BEATERS:

1. The Blazers had a stretch of 18 consecutive made free throws against the Grizzlies. They’re shooting 77 percent from the stripe on the season – ninth in the league.

2. Warriors starting center Andris Biedrins is scoreless in his past two outings despite logging 40 total minutes.
